Carbon Spherogels

Carbon Spherogels are monolithic carbon materials with a specific surface area in the range of 700 to 2500 m2/g. Their unique microstructure consists solely out of hollow spheres exhibiting microporous walls and an interior void of 250 nm. Concomitant being electrically conductive a high potential as electrode material for applications in supercapacitors or water desalination is foreseen.
